Cycling for a Cause – 2018

The Pan-Mass Challenge® (PMC) is a well-known bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country, donating 100 percent of every dollar raised to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.

In 2018, a team of 53 CNG and Lindenmeyr employees and their families participated in the PMC, riding nearly 200 miles through 46 towns across Massachusetts, ending up in Provincetown. The team members trained diligently for months leading up to the event, and held bake sales, concerts and other fund-raisers to achieve their goal of raising $250,000 for the cause.

Team Lindenmeyr included cyclists of all experience levels who traveled from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Massachusetts to participate. In addition to the ride team, four dedicated truck drivers volunteered to drive Lindenmeyr Munroe trucks to and from Provincetown to assist with the transportation of luggage, food, ice and anything else the riders would need throughout the two-day event.

Despite a rainy start on Saturday, Team Lindenmeyr powered through and finished up Sunday afternoon with lots of sore legs and happy smiles. It was a true team effort for a very worthy cause!
