Louisiana Association for the Blind

For our Community Giving Program, no community is too small. The Louisiana Association for the Blind has been working since 1927 to improve the quality of life for the blind through training, services and employment.

As part of its services, the organization provides products to the government made by Americans with visual and other severe disabilities. These products include more than 250 different SKILCRAFT® products such as copy paper, peel-and-stick nonskid and abrasive sanding cloths.

The organization uses a direct labor workforce that is made up of over 80% visually impaired employees, and also operates a Low Vision Rehabilitation Center that provides training and services for people of all ages with low vision blindness.
